Integrated Dermatology Continues to Grow in Connecticut by Partnering with Connecticut River Valley Dermatology

Boca Raton, Florida February 05, 2015

Integrated Dermatology Group (IDG), one of the leading national dermatology practices, has announced it is expanding its presence in Connecticut by partnering with Connecticut River Valley Dermatology. This practice will be known as Integrated Dermatology of Enfield and will be led by Meagen McCusker M.D., a board-certified dermatologist with over 10 years of experience. She has assumed the role of managing partner of Integrated Dermatology of Enfield.

Connecticut River Valley Dermatology was established in 2004 by Darlene Haviland, with a mission to provide dermatological care to a growing and underserved population. Haviland has practiced dermatology for over 25 years. “When I started my practice, I had no idea how quickly it would grow. Years later with multiple providers, a large staff, and increased regulations, the responsibilities became overwhelming for a sole proprietor and I knew it was time for my practice to move to the next level. I reached out to Integrated Dermatology Group, and with utmost professionalism and knowledge, IDG navigated the transitioning of my practice. Everyone I interacted with throughout the process was helpful and efficient.”

“We are very pleased with our partnership with Connecticut River Valley Dermatology and the expansion of our presence in Connecticut,” said Jeff Queen, president of IDG. “Our model is designed to relieve much of the back office operations, so that the providers can focus on practicing great medicine. IDG’s expertise in dermatology will help the practice better address future challenges in healthcare.”

About Integrated Dermatology Group – Headquartered in Boca Raton, FL, IDG owns, manages and operates dermatology practices throughout the United States. The company is expanding rapidly by acquiring and partnering with dermatology practices nationally. IDG has created an innovative program that provides dermatologists looking to sell their practice, and also dermatologists who desire a partnership, with an opportunity that previously did not exist.

For those physicians wishing to remain in their practice, IDG provides selling dermatologists monetary value for a portion of their practice, and they continue at the practice as physician owners. For physicians wishing to exit their practice, IDG allows them to monetize a lifetime of work and provides younger dermatologists with the opportunity to own and take over the established practice of a retiring dermatologist.

IDG's activities are designed to improve the quality of life for its partner dermatologists, while adding to their success. Its partner physicians are better able to focus on providing high quality dermatological care by offering its doctors relief from the stress of administrative functions, such as finance and human resource services and compliance guidance.
